Traffic Procedures

YELLOW MEANS CAUTION

As Arden Road begins another exciting year, we must all consider the safety of our children and others. Many students walk, riding bikes, and ride school buses to and from school each day.

Every year children are hurt and killed due to the negligence of motorists in the school zones and around school buses. Motorists must pay close attention to school zones and keep their speed limit to 20 mph during morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal times.

During loading and unloading, motorists going both directions should not pass a school bus when the lights are flashing. Make sure the roadway is clear of all children before proceeding on your way. If everyone remembers “Yellow Means Caution,” we should all have a safe and wonderful school year.

DROP OFF PROCEDURES

Parents may drop students off after 7:30 each morning. Students dropped off between 7:30 and 7:45 can enter the building through the northwest and southwest doors, as well as entering the Gym on the northeast, east, and southeast corners/sides of campus. Students may report to the cafeteria or the gym if they arrive between 7:30 and 7:45 each morning.

Students arriving after 7:45 may enter the building through the northwest and southwest doors, as well as the main entrance.

Students arriving after 7:55 may only enter the building through the main entrance. Students are considered tardy after 7:55am.
